Back To Zero 1979

This photo was taken during a series of intensive rehearsals in the autumn winter of 1979/1980. As we were a leading mod band at the time we are sporting the latest, and coolest, Fred Perry's known to humanity. As you can see the singer, me, is wearing a black shirt with gold embroidery and is a shirt that I still wish I had. Also I wish I could still fit into it. All of our fans wore Fred Perry's, some vintage, some contemporary but always neat.

After this picture was taken we did some demo's for Chrysalis records, did some gigs, one massive one at Hackney Town Hall and that was that. The Mod revival was quickly consigned to the fashion wasteland and the next fad, New Romantics took centre stage. Sad to say we split and went our separate ways to pursue careers, family and life. But didn't we have a nice time....
