Pulling on the boots

I entered high school as your typical teenager: obnoxious, trend following. I hid the fact that I listened to Ska. One day, I heard an announcement that a club specifically for ska was meeting that day. I showed up overjoyed, and from the moment I set foot in the door, I knew this was going to be where I spent my lunches. It was headed by a Traditional Skinhead named Diego, who further got my into the Skin/Suede culture. After he graduated, I ended up with one of his Perrys- just as prized to me as my Docs. Now i'm in my Sophomore year, co-president of Ska Club (with my best friend, who went Skin/Suede with me), living a healthily proud life, and honoring my roots and my forefathers. Cheers, Diego.
